MCX GOLD JUNE CONTRACT TRADES LOWER BY 0.45 PER CENT TO RS 26,085 PER 10 GRAMS.

Amid a weak trend overseas and profit-booking by speculators, gold prices on MCX were trading lower on Tuesday.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month June dropped by Rs 117, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 26,085 per 10 grams. Prices touched an Intraday session high of Rs 26,121 and an Intraday session low of Rs 26,060. So far 41 futures contracts have been traded in MCX.
Gold futures next month delivery was trading at Rs 25,917 down Rs 87, or 0.41 percent. Prices touched an Intraday high of Rs 25,962 and an Intraday low of Rs 25,885. So far 1343 futures contracts have been placed at MCX.
Meanwhile, at the Delhi bullion marketplace, gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity slumped by Rs 195 each to Rs 26,430 and Rs 26,230 per ten grams respectively.
Globally, gold in Singapore on the domestic front, fell 0.6 per cent to $1,159.85 an ounce, as the dollar extended gains.
